Jake Finch Tapped for Dover Xfinity Debut in Hendrick No. 17

Hendrick Motorsports has tapped Jake Finch, an up-and-coming racecar driver competing on a part-time basis in the ARCA Menards Series, to make his debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway.

Finch, a previous race-winner in the ARCA Menards Series East at Dover, will get behind the wheel of the No. 17 Chevrolet for the BetRivers 200. Sponsorship for the effort will come from HendrickCars.com.

This weekend’s 200-lap contest at the one-mile concrete oval will not just mark his second in the second-tier NASCAR Xfinity Series, but also his first start in any of NASCAR’s National Series.

The Lynn Haven, Florida-native is the son of James Finch, a long-time team owner in NASCAR’s National Series. Finch’s organization, Phoenix Racing, went to victory lane once in the NASCAR Cup Series and 13 times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

For Finch, the last four seasons have been spent running a partial schedule in the ARCA Menards Series, jumping between Venturini Motorsports and the aforementioned Phoenix Racing. In 18 starts, Finch has recorded one victory at Talladega in April 2024.

The 20-year-old driver is the sixth driver to get behind the wheel of the NASCAR Xfinity Series entry for Hendrick Motorsports in 2025, joining NASCAR Cup Series drivers William Byron, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Alex Bowman, as well as the team’s development driver, Corey Day.

The BetRivers 200 will take place on Saturday, July 19, at 4:30 pm ET on The CW, Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
