Post-race inspection for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Camping World 300 at Chicagoland Speedway has been completed. There were no issues with the race-winning No. 00 car of Cole Custer other than an improperly installed lug nut. As a result, Custer is the official race winner.
There was a problem with the third-place finisher’s car. Christopher Bell’s No. 20 machine was found to be too low in post-race tech. As a result, the third-place finish has been stripped and the No. 20 car has been credited with a last place finish.
According to NASCAR’s Wayne Auton, Bell’s car was too low on the front and also on the right rear and that race damage did not play a part in the failed inspection.
