Christopher Bell benefited from a late-race caution, which sent Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway to overtime. Under caution, Bell won the race off of pit road and controlled his fate on the following restart.

Bell got the job done, pulled away, and won the race over Cole Custer and Sheldon Creed, who had the lead before the overtime restart was a thing.

Following the race, Bell’s car underwent the rigors of post-race inspection, where his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra was given a passing grade. As a result, Bell and his race team were named the official winners of the race.

This is the second win of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season for Bell, and it’s the 19th win of his career in the series.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following the race are now considered official.

Custer officially came home in the runner-up spot ahead of Creed, Chase Elliott, and Sammy Smith.
