Daniel Suárez, the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion and a two-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner, will return for his second start in the series this year as he’ll strap into the No. 36 Chevrolet Silverado for DGM Racing in the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series street race at Chicago.

Suárez will join Kyle Weatherman in the driver lineup for DGM Racing on July 6, and Glendale Heights, IL-based Universal Beauty Products will support both entries. Suárez’s No. 36 entry will feature nationally recognized brand Van Der Hagen with a white and orange paint scheme, while Weatherman will feature another nationally recognized Universal Beauty Products brand — Beard Guyz — with a black and orange No. 91 paint scheme.

DGM Racing revealed both paint schemes on Wednesday along with the announcement.

Universal Beauty Products utilized its Van Der Hagen brand last season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Street Race at Chicago, and loved what it saw so much that it brought two of its brands back to the race this year.

“We continue to find creative ways to increase awareness for our brands and the Chicago race meets that core objective,” said Universal Beauty Products President Beatrice Calabrese in a press release. “Partnering elite NASCAR drivers Daniel Suárez and Kyle Weatherman with our Van Der Hagen and Beard Guyz brands also allows us to showcase our support to local sports, community, and cultural events.”

Suárez, who will be clean-shaven for the event, is excited for his first start with the Mario Gosselin-owned DGM Racing team.

“I am really looking forward to the opportunity to work with DGM Racing as I represent Van Der Hagen’s shaving products in Chicago,” Daniel Suárez explained. “The Chicago Street Course is a very important track to me, and I am thankful to Mario and his team for the opportunity to log additional laps ahead of Sunday’s Cup race.”

Weatherman finished 14th in this event last season, a race which was shortened to just 25 laps due to excessive rain and severe thunderstorms in the area. He is ready to better that finish this season.

“The excitement around the Chicago Street Course is honestly unmatched!” Weatherman stated with excitement. “With a rain shortened race last year, I am eager to get back on the streets of Chicago and couldn’t be more excited to do so with a new partner on board our No. 91. I am grateful for the support from Beard Guyz and looking forward to getting them a solid finish in our DGM Racing Chevrolet!”

The NASCAR Xfinity Series The Loop 110 at the Chicago Street Course is set for Saturday, July 6 at 3:00 PM ET and will be televised on USA Network. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will provide the radio call of the event.

  1. Aric is a very low key individual. If you look at past feuds you will find Bubba is involved in most of them. Common denominator? I think so. Bubba is doing all the young black driver’s trying to move. These young men trying to move up will be type cast because of Bubba. He needs to get the chip off his shoulder, quit playing the race card, or get out of the sport.
