Trackhouse Racing, through its partnership with JR Motorsports, will enter its full-time NASCAR Cup Series competitors Ross Chastain and Shane Van Gisbergen in a combined nine NASCAR Xfinity Series events in 2025.

Chastain and Van Gisbergen will pilot the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro, a fifth entry for the championship-winning organization.

The pair will be serving as a teammate to Trackhouse Racing development driver Connor Zilisch, who will compete full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports in 2025, driving the No. 88 Chevrolet.

Carson Kvapil (No. 1), Justin Allgaier (No. 7), and Sammy Smith (No. 8) will also be competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the organization in 2025.

Chastain will pilot the entry five times throughout the season, beginning at Circuit of The Americas (March 1), followed by Darlington Raceway (April 5), Nashville Superspeedway (May 31), Dover Motor Speedway (July 19), and Iowa Speedway (August 2).

“I think there is a lot of benefit to getting seat time on Saturdays in the Xfinity Series,” said Chastain who raced in four NXS events in 2024. “Getting an opportunity to do it with JR Motorsports is too good an opportunity to pass up. I know every time I climb in their Chevrolets, we will have a chance to win.”

The Alva, Florida-native is a five-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series and finished runner-up in the point standings in 2022. Additionally, he’s captured the victory in two Xfinity Series events.

Van Gisbergen, a three-time NASCAR Xfinity Series winner and Rookie of The Year candidate in the NASCAR Cup Series for 2025, will run four road courses in the No. 9 Chevrolet.

The Auckland, New Zealand-native will begin his Xfinity Series campaign at Mexico City on June 14, with additional runs at the Chicago Street Course (July 5), Sonoma Raceway (July 12), and Watkins Glen International (August 9).

“I’m trying to get as much experience as I can,” said the three-time Supercars champion who moved to America and began full-time racing in NASCAR last year. “JR Motorsports is one of the top teams and won the championship with Justin Allgaier. I can’t wait to get started.”

Additional announcements regarding sponsorship and personnel for the No. 9 Chevrolet will come at a later date.
