About three hours after the conclusion of Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, Chase Briscoe took to the r/NASCAR subreddit – an online community where the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver, along with other personalities in the NASCAR Community are consistently engaging with fans — with a post titled “Varying opinions on ending”. Briscoe went on to say that he chalks Saturday’s incident up as “plate racing in a nutshell”:
The “ending” in which Briscoe is referring to, is that of Saturday Afternoon’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Talladega, where Briscoe was in contention for his ninth victory of the season – after leading a race-high 73 laps — before two aggressive pushes from JR Motorsports driver Noah Gragson, would relegate the points leader to a 19th-place finish, ending his bid for three consecutive victories.
While leading the race with three laps to go, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver made a mind-boggling save, one that prevented at least 10 owners from having immense damage to their race cars and their checkbooks.

Briscoe was able to regroup from the loss of momentum, working his way back into contention for the victory before contact from Noah Gragson’s No. 9 sent Briscoe’s No. 98 Ford Performance Driving School Mustang into the outside wall, resulting in Briscoe’s fourth finish outside the top-ten in the last six races.

While it appears there is no “bad blood” between Briscoe and Gragson – after the two separate incidents in the race’s last stint — the fact that Briscoe has already locked himself into the next round of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs with his victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, may help him shake off a poor run in Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.
