On Wednesday, Chase Briscoe opened up on Twitter and shared some truly gut wrenching news with the world. Briscoe and his wife Marissa found out that their first child had miscarried.

Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. @MarissaBriscoe_ and I heard the worst news any soon to be parent could hear… That we wouldn’t be welcoming our daughter to the world on December 1st. Thoughts are truly with the Briscoe family during these unfathomably difficult times.
Briscoe first announced to the world that he and wife Marissa were expecting on April 21st.

Briscoe is scheduled to race in the postponed NASCAR Xfinity Series Toyota 200 at Darlington Raceway on Thursday at 12 PM ET.
