UPDATE 2:40 PM ET: Brandon Brown’s car was repaired in time for final practice and he nailed down the 24th-fastest lap in the session.
During the opening NASCAR Xfinity Series practice session of the weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, Brandon Brown suffered a broken sway bar, which in turn damaged the driveshaft and oil cooler on his No. 86 Vero Chevrolet Camaro SS.
There is a chance that the rookie will not be able to put down any laps in final practice, as his team is thrashing to make repairs. However, Brown is confident that they may be able to get the car repaired in time as he sent a tweet about how relentless his team is on Thursday.

Brown and his Brandonbilt Motorsports team have been a resilient bunch in 2019.
Despite not having the largest budget, or top-tier equipment, they have worked hard with the resources that they have at their disposal. Brown sits 15th in the championship standings after 21 races, and he has seven top-15 finishes on the year with a best finish of sixth (Daytona in July).
