Once again, the NASCAR Xfinity Series field has been left speechless by Austin Hill.
The Richard Childress Racing (RCR) driver continued to do unimaginable things on Saturday, dominating the Bennett Transportation and Logistics 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway en route to his 11th win in the Xfinity Series.
Simply put, Hill was untouchable on Saturday, leading a race-high 146 of the race’s 163 laps on the way to a third straight victory at the 1.54-mile superspeedway, and his fifth at the racetrack in seven starts under this configuration.
“To be able to do this is something special,” Hill said post-race. “We were able to do it last year with the gold car for their 50th Anniversary, and they sponsored the qualifying. It looks like to me they need to sponsor some more NASCAR Xfinity races because this has been a good omen for us.”

Even though Hill has been able to park it in Victory Lane 11 times now in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, this triumph marks the first win as a crew chief for Chad Haney, who joined the team as a shot-caller this season.
“I saw the trophy, but I didn’t want to touch it cause I didn’t want to jinx anything up in the suite at Bennett, but they were giving me some pressure, they were like ‘Hey, you got to win this race’ and I’m like, ‘I’m going to give it all I’ve got’, and we did that.”
With Jesse Love’s triumph last weekend at Daytona, Richard Childress Racing has won back-to-back events with two different drivers for the first time since the Summer of 2016.
Defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier finished in the runner-up spot at the 1.54-mile superspeedway, after holding the race lead late and missing an opportunity to jump up in front of the No. 21.
Aric Almirola, running the first of nine scheduled NASCAR Xfinity Series events for Joe Gibbs Racing this season came home in third place, after a full-contact battle to the start-finish line with Allgaier.
Sammy Smith also found himself in the fight for the victory but had to settle for a fourth-place result in the No. 8 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. Despite a beat up No. 48 Chevrolet, Nick Sanchez rounded out the top five.
With a last-lap accident — involving Parker Retzlaff, Ryan Sieg, and Christian Eckes — splitting up the pack at the back half of the top-10, Jeb Burton was able to sneak through for a sixth-place result.
Daniel Dye came home seventh, with Leland Honeyman — in the second-ever race for Cope Family Racing — finished in eighth place. William Sawalich and Harrison Burton rounded out the top-10.
With his victory, Austin Hill jumps to the top of the regular-season point standings, with a one-point advantage over Sheldon Creed.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will finally leave the carnage of the superspeedways to head to Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, for the first road course event of the season.
