Austin Cindric started 10th in Saturday’s Pennzoil 150 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course, but it took him less than three laps to get himself into the lead. Once snagging the lead, Cindric didn’t look back and he captured the Stage 1 win, and the Playoff Point that goes with it.

Justin Allgaier, who will fill in for Jimmie Johnson in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race, was second in Stage 1.

Justin Haley, Chase Briscoe and Noah Gragson finished third thru fifth.

Ross Chastain, Harrison Burton, Alex Labbe, Jeremy Clements and Ryan Sieg rounded out the top-10 in Stage 1.

AJ Allmendinger had worked his way inside the top-10, but as a late Stage caution was coming out for debris, he attempted to hit pit road before the yellow flag was thrown. However, the caution was already out and Allmendinger was relegated to passing through the pits, instead.

Allmendinger ended up 12th in Stage 1.
