It’s been a disappointing afternoon for Stewart Friesen at Rockingham Speedway.
After an incident in qualifying damaged the right side of his No. 52 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, Halmar Friesen Racing worked incredibly hard to get the Halmar International-sponsored machine on the grid.
But, following a multi-car incident in the final stage of Friday’s Black’s Tire 200 at Rockingham Speedway, Friesen is going to leave North Carolina with a damaged vehicle.
Friesen was running inside the top-10 when Rajah Caruth, the driver in front of him, bobbled in the corner, forcing the No. 52 to check up majorly, leaving Matt Mills nowhere to go.
The two trucks then got hooked together and crashed into the wall at the outside of Turn 4, heavily damaging both trucks. As Friesen continued to lose control, the No. 52 slid down the racetrack and demolished Tanner Gray.
All three drivers were forced to retire from Friday’s Black’s Tire 200 at Rockingham Speedway due to crash damage.
