Tyler Tomassi and MBM Motorsports, which partnered for a 24th-place finish in the June NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Pocono Raceway, are set to join forces once again. Tomassi will pilot the team’s No. 69 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Truck Series Love’s RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway on October 17.

Carl Long, the owner of MBM Motorsports, was impressed with Tomassi’s performance in their first race together at Pocono, but knows there is a vast difference between the 2.5-mile triangle and the 2.66-mile superspeedway.

“Tyler showed us a lot at Pocono, and I am proud that our MBM team gets to field him in his first Talladega attempt. Superspeedway racing is a unique skill set that takes both talent and luck to get right. We are working hard to give Tyler everything he needs to have a great run,” said Long.

The 22-year-old Tomassi, who has made four starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this season, is excited to compete at the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway for the first time.

“I am thrilled to drive in my first ever superspeedway race,” Tomassi stated in a team press release. “Talladega has been on my bucket list to experience my whole life as a NASCAR fan. Now, not only do I get to go to this renowned track, I get to go there as a driver. I can’t thank Carl Long and the entire MBM group enough for everything. Let’s get it!”

MBM Motorsports will announce primary sponsorship for Tomassi’s No. 69 truck at a later date, and for those interested in partnering with the driver and team for the event are encouraged to reach out to the team at info@mbmmotorsports.com or Tomassi at tylertomassi@gmail.com.
