Even after all this time, Ty Majeski and Joe Shear, Jr. still have the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series field scratching their heads about the speed in the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Ford F-150.

Saturday at The Milwaukee Mile was more of the same, with the Seymour, Wisconsin-native posting the fastest time in practice, and backing it up in qualifying, winning the pole for the LiUNA! 175.

With Road Ranger and Soda Sense as co-primary sponsors of his ThorSport Racing machine, Majeski laid down a time of 29.815 seconds (122.556mph) to earn his fourth NASCAR Truck Series pole of the year, and the ninth of his career.

The 30-year-old short-track racer is riding a wave of momentum, after winning the last two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events at Indianapolis Raceway Park and Richmond Raceway, setting him up for the NASCAR Playoffs.

Starting alongside Majeski on the front row for Sunday’s 175-lap contest is Tanner Gray, who was the first driver below the playoff cutline when the dust settled last time out at Richmond Raceway.

The No. 15 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro has a brand-new crew chief for this weekend’s event at The Milwaukee Mile, in 18-time Xfinity Series race-winning Jason Burdett.

Regular-season champion Christian Eckes will start Sunday’s event from third place, while his biggest championship rival, Corey Heim, will start in fourth for TRICON Garage.

Nick Sanchez completed the top five in qualifying. William Sawalich, Kaden Honeycutt, Rajah Caruth, Tyler Ankrum, and Daniel Dye completed the top-10.

STARTING LINEUP: LiUNA! 175 at The Milwaukee Mile

Of those drivers and/or teams still in the hunt for the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship, four qualified outside the top-10, with Taylor Gray 11th, Grant Enfinger 12th, and Ben Rhodes 18th.

NASCAR Xfinity Series regular Sammy Smith qualified 19th for Sunday’s playoff opener at Milwaukee, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports, a team still fighting for the Owner’s Title.

Norm Benning, making his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series attempt of 2024, was the sole DNQ for Sunday’s LiUNA! 175 at The Milwaukee Mile. Benning is scheduled to bring his No. 6 Chevrolet Silverado back to the racetrack at Talladega Superspeedway.
