Todd Peck and the No. 96 Peck Motorsports team will officially attempt to make the field for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Daytona International Speedway.

Add another NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team to the entry list for the 2023 NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona International Speedway. The No. 96 Peck Motorsports team, and its driver Todd Peck, will attempt to work their way into the season-opening event, TobyChristie.com has learned.

The No. 96 team will field a Toyota Tundra, which is being prepared out of the SS Green Light Racing shop. Frank Fuhrman will serve as the team’s crew chief.

Peck Motorsports attempted one NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race during the 2022 season. Unfortunately, the truck, which was piloted by Mason Maggio, failed to make it into the 36-truck field at Richmond Raceway.

Todd Peck has made a total of 35 starts in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition, the last of which came at Pocono Raceway in 2021. Peck finished 29th in that event at Pocono.

Peck’s career-best finish in NCTS competition is 18th, which the 37-year-old has accomplished on two occasions. Peck was 18th at Phoenix Raceway in 2012 while running for SS Green Light, and he finished 18th in the season-opener at Daytona in 2017 driving for D.J. Copp’s team.

The team did make it into this event back in the 2015 season. In all, the Peck Motorsports team has made a total of 15 starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since its inception in 2011.

The No. 96 Peck Motorsports team has been persistent in its quest to make it back into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway since 2015, as it attempted in 2020 and 2021.

In 2020, Peck came up two spots shy of advancing to the race through qualifying, and in 2021, the truck was three spots short.

With a year away from Daytona in 2022, the team will come to Daytona in 2023 hoping to have found enough speed to clock its way into the big race.
