On Friday afternoon, for the first time since 2020, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series turned laps at Michigan International Speedway.
The extended practice session, which ran under green-flag conditions for 50 minutes, was paced by NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series veteran Tanner Gray, driving the No. 15 Place of Hope Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage.
With a lap time of 38.726 seconds (185.922mph), Gray paced the session over NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rookie Luke Fenhaus, who placed the No. 66 ThorSport Racing Ford F-150 in second.
NASCAR Cup Series regular Ross Chastain was ranked third in the practice session, with Chandler Smith and Tyler Ankrum sitting fourth and fifth.
Carson Hocevar was sixth, with Layne Riggs seventh, Ty Majeski eighth, Corey Heim ninth, and Kaden Honeycutt rounding out the top-10.

Other notables in the session include Grant Enfinger (12th), last weekend’s winner Rajah Caruth (13th), Matt Crafton (14th), Jake Garcia (16th), Gio Ruggiero (17th), Ben Rhodes (18th), and Stewart Friesen (20th).
In his first of nine scheduled NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events in the No. 07 for Spire Motorsports, Corey LaJoie was ranked 24th overall in the session.
Next for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is qualifying, which will begin on Saturday at 8:05 AM ET. Coverage of the session will be on FS1, before the race is on FOX later that afternoon at Noon ET.
