A couple of weeks ago Spencer Boyd sat out of the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Dirt Derby at Eldora with a back injury. A week later, Boyd was back behind the wheel at Michigan in the Truck Series as well as in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series as he made his series debut.

This week, it shocked quite a few to once again see Landon Huffman on the entry list for the No. 20 truck for Young’s Motorsports. Was Boyd injured again? Turns out, no.

On Twitter, Boyd posted a note on Twitter explaining why he isn’t in the No. 20 this week at Bristol — he’s looking at furthering his career.

Expect to see Boyd in less races for the 20 truck and possibly see him in more Cup Series events for the ever-expanding Rick Ware Racing, which will have four cars in this weekend’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol.
