On Thursday, NASCAR issued its weekly penalty report. Jason White was included in the report. NASCAR’s penalty report states that after violating section 4.4 D of the NASCAR rule book (being charged with or convicted of significant criminal violations), due to his arrest on charges of Driving While Impaired (DWI), White has been indefinitely suspended.
White was also found to be in violation of Section 2.14 A of the NASCAR Rule Book, which requires any NASCAR Member charged with any violation of the law (misdemeanor and/or felony) to notify the sanctioning body prior to the next scheduled event or within 72 hours of being charged, whichever is earlier.

Jason White, a part-time driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has been issued charges of Driving While Impaired (DWI), following his arrest earlier this month.
Per the Huntersville Police Department, which confirmed details surrounding the arrest to TobyChristie.com via a police report, White was arrested at 5:42 PM ET on Thursday, August 3rd, where he was brought in on charges of Driving While Impaired.
TobyChristie.com has reached out to NASCAR in search of comment or confirmation of potential action against White. At the time of publishing, no response has been received.
In the state of North Carolina, there are five different levels of misdemeanor DWI, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, ranging from Level V to Level I and providing a vast range of potential penalties.
The least severe level, a Level V, is punishable by a fine of up to $200 and a jail sentence of 24 hours to 60 days, whereas the most severe level, Level I, is punishable by a fine of up to $4,000 and a jail sentence ranging from 30 days to two years.
At the time of publishing, the North Carolina Judicial Branch has scheduled a court appearance for the 44-year-old on September 6, where a judge will deliberate on charges of Speeding, Reckless Driving to Endanger, and Exceeding Safe Speed, along with the aforementioned charge of Driving While Impaired.
In February, White returned to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the first time in nearly a decade, piloting the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage in the season-opener at Daytona, finishing 15th.
The Richmond, Virginia-native most recently attempted to qualify for a NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Talladega Superspeedway, but missed the show in a second entry for MBM Motorsports.
Since making his Xfinity debut in 1999, White has made 214 starts across NASCAR’s National Series, netting him a stat line that includes nine top-five finishes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, with a career-best second at Michigan in 2012.
White also serves as the President of Motorsports for CMR Roofing, a long-time sponsor of Ryan Sieg and RSS Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series – though, this past weekend at Indianapolis, the company’s logos were noticeably missing from the No. 39 Ford Mustang.
A representative from the organization tells TobyChristie.com that White’s arrest did not play a role in the sponsorship agreement between CMR Construction and Roofing and RSS Racing.
