Michael Ruch – husband of NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series driver Angela Ruch — has been fined $10,000 for violating two separate sections of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series rule book.

Ruch, who was found to be in violation of sections 12.8.1.b of NASCAR’s Member Conduct Guidelines and 7.7.2.j of the Team Event Roster Guidelines, has been listed as the hauler driver of the No. 00 for Reaume Brothers Racing in five of the six NASCAR Truck Series events since returning to racing in mid-May.

These exact violations were handed out to Anthony Clements – owner of Jeremy Clements Racing — just weeks ago, when the NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Kentucky Speedway for their doubleheader weekend.

Section 12.8.1.b of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series rule book states that “failure to comply with NASCAR’s COVID-19 Event Protocol Guidelines and/or instructions from NASCAR including screenings, social distancing, compartmentalization, and use of required personal protective equipment, etc.” can result in a monetary fine ranging from $2,500 to $12,500.

Section 7.7.2.j of the rule book states that “If a team is not in compliance with the Team Event Roster Rules and guidelines, that team will be subject to a Penalty as outlined in Section 12 Violations and Disciplinary Action.”

Earlier this season, Mike was involved in a twitter “disagreement” between NBC Analyst Parker Kligerman and wife Angela Ruch, when Kligerman suggested the qualification standard for NASCAR’s National Series be raised, after Ruch spun her N0. 00 coming off of pit road at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Mike Ruch was in the headlines AGAIN, just a couple weeks later, when he offered a $50,000 “bounty” for any full-time cup driver that could beat his wife Anglea Ruch, while she was driving in a top-tier ride in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.
