In just his 12th start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Luke Fenhaus, a Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contender for ThorSport Racing, has secured his first career pole position.

The Wausau, Wisconsin-native will lead the field to green in Saturday’s DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 at Michigan International Speedway, the series’ first event at the two-mile speedway since 2020.

Posting a lap time of 39.236 seconds (183.505mph), Fenhaus was able to top the speed charts and collect his first career pole position in NASCAR’s National Series.

“It just shows how fast the ThorSport trucks come and compete week in and week out,” Fenhaus told FOX Sports after qualifying. “We bring fast race trucks and I’m happy to drive them, it’s a dream come true to be a part of this family and group, and happy to be here. Hopefully, we can lead some laps and have a good race.”

Prior to Saturday’s qualifying session at Michigan, Fenhaus, who is serving as the anchor driver of the No. 66 Ford F-150 this season, had a career-best starting position of 12th-place earlier this season at the iconic Rockingham Speedway.

NASCAR Cup Series regular Carson Hocevar will start on the outside of the front row for Saturday’s 125-lap contest, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado RST for Spire Motorsports. The Portage, Michigan-native is contesting his third of four scheduled starts in 2025 in the NASCAR Truck Series.

Matt Crafton, a three-time champion of the NASCAR Truck Series, will roll from third in Saturday’s event at Michigan, marking the ThorSport Racing driver’s best qualifying result in the series since winning the pole at Talladega Superspeedway in October 2019, nearly six years ago.

Jake Garcia, a teammate to Fenhaus and Crafton at ThorSport Racing, will start from fourth place in the No. 13 Ford F-150, while Jack Wood of McAnally-Hilgemann Racing will complete the top-five starters.

Defending NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ty Majeski was sixth, with Corey Heim in seventh, Connor Mosack eighth, Ben Rhodes ninth, and Rockingham winner Tyler Ankrum completing the top-10.

Other notables include Daniel Hemric (11th), last week’s winner at Nashville Rajah Caruth (13th), Grant Enfinger (14th), Kaden Honeycutt (16th), Layne Riggs (18th), Gio Ruggiero (20th), and Corey LaJoie (24th).

Josh Reaume, driving the No. 22 Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing, put down an impressive qualifying result and will start the race from 21st.

Chandler Smith and Morgen Baird both failed to post a lap time in qualifying, albeit for different reasons. Smith appeared to have a tire issue on his No. 38 Long John Silver’s Ford F-150, while Morgen Baird was unable to get his No. 2 around the two-mile speedway.
