After a stellar sophomore campaign and just narrowly missing out on the Championship 4 in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs, Layne Riggs has been given another shot at winning a championship.
Front Row Motorsports (FRM) confirmed on Wednesday that Riggs would be returning to the organization next season, once again piloting the No. 34 Ford F-150, as part of a multi-year contract extension with the team.
Riggs has been able to park his Ford F-150 in Victory Lane three times this year at Pocono, Indianapolis Raceway Park, and Bristol, while also collecting a career-high 12 top-five and 15 top-10 finishes, along with three poles.
“This year was a huge confidence booster—not just for me, but for our entire team,” said Riggs. “Making a deep playoff run is no easy task, but this group made it feel that way. We’re ready for the offseason, but just as excited to come out swinging at Daytona.”
In September, Riggs told Racing America on SI that he was “planning on” returning to Front Row Motorsports for the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign. Now, less than one month later, FRM has put pen to paper and locked down the 23-year-old driver.
The Bahama, North Carolina-native contested his rookie campaign in the NASCAR Truck Series last season with Front Row Motorsports, and while Riggs didn’t get into the post-season, he did secure a pair of victories at The Milwaukee Mile and Bristol.

“It’s truly incredible what this team has done these last two seasons,” said Riggs. “This group of guys has had my back since day one, and the bond we have formed is something that I hold close to my heart. We have really stepped it up compared to 2024, and it’s only going to get better. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Dylan Cappello will continue to serve as the shot-caller for Riggs and the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford F-150. Cappello is a race car driver himself, having won an ARCA Menards Series West event at the LVMS Bullring in 2023.
“Dylan (Cappello) and I just click,” said Riggs. “Not only do we both have a racing background, but we both have mechanical engineering degrees. I can tell him how the truck feels, and he’ll know exactly what I mean and how to make it better. We work well together and have something that will hopefully carry us into another playoff berth.”
Riggs will have an opportunity to secure the Owner’s Championship in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Front Row Motorsports, as the No. 34 Ford F-150 heads to Phoenix Raceway for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race.
Coverage of the event will take place on Friday, October 31 at 7:30 PM ET on FS1.
