After a fantastic finish to Saturday’s Heart of Health Care 200 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Kansas Speedway, one of the main players, second-place finisher Layne Riggs, has been disqualified.

Riggs, driver of the No. 34 Love’s RV Stops Ford F-150 for Front Row Motorsports, was found to violate Section 14.4.9A of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rule Book, which pertains to the bed cover of the truck.

The noted section of the Rule Book states that the “bed cover material must be strong enough to prevent the cover from deflecting or sagging and must be sealed around the perimeter of all bed panels while the vehicle is in competition.”

As a result of the disqualification, Riggs will be dropped from second in the final race rundown to a dismal 31st place, which will massively alter the points position of the Front Row Motorsports driver.

The loss of all stage points and a final running position for Riggs will shake up the results for each of the stages, as well as the race.

Corey Heim will lead Caruth, Enfinger, Hocevar, Smith, Hemric, Honeycutt, Gray, Currey, and Mosack in Stage 1.

Carson Hocevar will lead Enfinger, Byron, Hemric, Gray, Ankrum, Rhodes, Honeycutt, Caruth, and Brandon Jones in Stage 2.

As far as the race-winner, there will be no changes there, as Carson Hocevar and the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet passed post-race inspection.

William Byron will be promoted to a second-place finish with Corey Heim, Gio Ruggiero, and Stewart Friesen completing the top-five. Brandon Jones, Jake Garcia, Kaden Honeycutt, Grant Enfinger, and Daniel Hemric will round out the top-10.
