Kris Wright, a journeyman racer who began the season with the now-defunct Our Motorsports team in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, has landed a two-race NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driving deal with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.
The team announced the addition of Wright with a social media post on Monday afternoon.

Wright will slide behind the wheel of the No. 16 Chevrolet Silverado for the first time this week at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, and he’ll return to the entry for the Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on October 17.
The 31-year-old Pennsylvania native will carry primary sponsorship from F.N.B. Corporation.
In 81 career NASCAR National Series starts, Wright has notched one top-10 finish, which came in the form of a ninth-place finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Martinsville Speedway earlier this year.
That race notably had a multi-car melee coming to the checkered flag, which involved Sammy Smith and Taylor Gray, who were involved in a post-race scuffle at the infield care center.
Wright has a career-best finish of 12th in 47 previous NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts. His career-best finish came in his second career start, which was at Daytona International Speedway in 2021.
Heading into this weekend’s race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, Wright has a career average finish of 25.6 in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition. He’ll look to better that number this weekend.
Wright competed in a full-time ARCA Menards Series campaign a season ago with Venturini Motorsports. Wright racked up eight top-five finishes and 12 top-10s over 20 starts, and he finished the season third in the championship standings behind Andres Perez de Lara and Lavar Scott.
