This week, the weather at Bristol Motor Speedway’s dirt track caused NASCAR to scrap the Heat Races for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Cup Series events, which meant that the starting lineups were set by the rule book.

This in turn, knocked out a few drivers who were hopeful to make it into the main event in the Truck Series, including Jessica Friesen, the wife of NCWTS championship contender Stewart Friesen.

On Monday, Stewart Friesen revealed on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s The Morning Drive that Jessica will once again attempt to make the Truck Series field when the series visits the dirt track at Knoxville later in the season. She will once again pilot the No. 62 Halmar Friesen Racing second entry, and hopefully weather will not be an issue during the qualification process.

The Friesens are looking to be the first husband/wife tandem to start in the same NASCAR National Series event since the 1998 season when Elton Sawyer and his wife Patty Moise started the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in November that year.
