Jeff Stankiewicz, a veteran shot-caller in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has been hired by TRICON Garage to join the organization’s competition staff, effective immedaitely.

Stankiewicz joins TRICON from CR7 Motorsports, where he’s spent the last two seasons serving as crew chief for perennial championship contender Grant Enfinger and the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado.

The announcement of Stankiewicz’s destination for the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign comes just over a month after CR7 Motorsports, a playoff-eligible organization, announced that they would be removing the veteran shot-caller from the top of the pit box ahead of the first elimination event at New Hampshire.

“Jeff is an accomplished veteran and someone we’ve always viewed as a top-tier competitor within the Truck Series garage,” said Kevin Ray, Partner and General Manager of TRICON Garage. “He’s a championship-caliber leader that will immediately elevate our program and position our organization for even greater success in the future.”

A native of Clarksville, Indiana, Stankiewicz has served as a crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the ARCA Meanrds Series over the last decade and a half of sitting on top of the pit box.

Having been paired with Sheldon Creed and MDM Motorsports in the ARCA Menards Series, Stankiewicz was the series’ championship-winning crew chief in 2018, before returning to the championship stage two seasons later in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Creed and GMS Racing.

The 42-year-old veteran crew chief is a 12-time race-winner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, winning events with Sheldon Creed (eight), Grant Enfinger (three), and Kyle Larson (one). In the ARCA Menards Series, Stankiewicz went to Victory Lane 10 times, six times with Enfinger and four times with Creed.

Stankiewciz’s time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series – first with Turner-Scott Motorsports in 2010, and then with Richard Childress Racing in 2022 and 2023 – didn’t result in a victory, but did net the shot-caller 11 top-five and 28 top-10 finishes, with a best final points position of seventh (Sheldon Creed, 2023).

Spending the last two seasons as shot-caller for Enfinger and CR7 Motorsports, Stankiewicz was successful in getting the Codie Rohrbaugh-owned operation to Victory Lane for the first time, securing the team its first Championship 4 berth, and recording two wins, 15 top-fives, and 25 top-10s.

Further details regarding driver and crew chief pairings for the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign will be made by TRICON Garage at a later date.
