Post-race technical inspection following Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been completed.
Nick Sanchez’s race-winning No. 2 Gainbridge Rev Racing Chevrolet Silverado has passed post-race inspection, which means that he and his team have officially been declared the winners of the race.
For Sanchez, this is his second win of the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series season, and it is his second career NCTS win.
Runner-up finisher Corey Heim was disqualified after his No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota Tundra was found to have three unsecured lug nuts in post-race inspection.
Heim will now be credited with a last-place finish, and everyone who intially finished below him will shift up in the running order by a position. Additionally, Heim won Stages 1 and 2 of Friday’s race. With the DQ, he will forfeit those Stage wins, and those will be reassigned as well.
Kaden Honeycutt will be awarded the winner of Stage 1 while Tanner Gray will be the official winner of Stage 2.
The No. 5 truck of Dean Thompson, and the No. 38 truck of Layne Riggs had one lug nut unsecure in post-race inspection, which will result in a monetary fine for their crew chiefs.
No other issues were detected in post-race inspection.
