Virginia native Howie DiSavino III will set out to make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Richmond Raceway, his home track. According to a press release from Savino, 19, will pilot the No. 3 Jordan Anderson Racing Chevrolet Silverado for the event.

“I’m incredibly humbled about this opportunity to not only compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with Jordan Anderson Racing but for the chance to race in front of my family, friends and partners,” DiSavino said. “This is undoubtedly the biggest race of my career, but I am up for the challenge.”

Joining DiSavino for this race will be his longtime partners KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning.

“I have been keeping my eye on Howie for a little while now, and when Austin (Theriault, manager) said he was available and exploring NASCAR opportunities, I wanted to jump at having him make his NASCAR debut in one of our trucks,” Anderson, the team owner, said in the release.

DiSavino, who will be the third different driver behind the wheel of the No. 3 truck this season, has made six-career starts in the ARCA Menards Series, with two top-10 finishes to show for his efforts. He has also made one start in the ARCA Menards Series West division, where he finished 11th at Phoenix Raceway.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Toyota Care 250 from Richmond Raceway will be contested on Saturday, April 17th at 1:30 PM ET. FS1 will provide television broadcasting of the race.
