The first bit of bragging rights of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race weekend at Phoenix Raceway belongs to Corey Heim, who paced practice for Friday night’s championship-deciding event. Heim, who drives the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota Tundra, turned a fast lap of 26.285 seconds (136.960 mph).

Heim led the way in a 1-2-3 result for Championship 4 contenders as Grant Enfinger registered the second-fastest lap of the session in the No. 9 CR7 Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado and Ty Majeski was third in the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Ford F-150.

Enfinger’s lap time was a 26.390-second circuit around the 1-mile oval in Avondale, Arizona, while Majeski had a 26.407-second lap time on his fastest lap of the session.

Christian Eckes, the fourth Championship 4 contender who won last weekend’s race at Martinsville Speedway, trailed the championship contenders with the sixth-fastest lap in the lone NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice session of the weekend. Eckes’ fast lap had a 26.649 second lap time.

Taylor Gray, who was upset with how he was raced by Eckes in the closing laps of last week’s event at Martinsville Speedway, ranked fourth in the practice session, ahead of 18-year-old phenom Connor Mosack.

Stewart Friesen, William Sawalich, Layne Riggs, and Dean Thompson rounded out the top 10 fastest drivers in practice for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway.

The next on-track activity for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers will be qualifying, which will set the starting lineup for Friday night’s pivotal race. Qualifying is set to begin on Friday, November 8 at 4:00 PM ET on FS2, which can also be viewed on the FOX Sports App with a cable login.

Then, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship will be decided later that evening. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race is slated for 8:00 PM ET with television coverage being provided by FS1. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will provide the radio broadcast of the event.
