Erik Jones to Race Charlotte — Not Homestead — in No. 5 Truck For Ballew, Finch and Wauters

Before the 10-week break in NASCAR action due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a story had surfaced that created some buzz in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.

Erik Jones would be returning to drive in an attempt to collect the Kyle Busch bounty in a combined effort between Wauters Motorsports with Billy Ballew and James Finch at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Well, we now know that with the schedule shuffle, Jones will actually run Charlotte Motor Speedway this Tuesday in the No. 5 truck for the joint entry from Wauters Motorsports, Ballew and Finch.

Jones revealed the news by way of a tweet on Thursday.

Jones will join Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott and Timmy Hill as the other full-time NASCAR Cup Series drivers who have announced intentions to run the event.
