It may be a different racetrack, but it’s the same old story for the NASCAR Truck Series: It’s Heim Time.

Corey Heim, driver of the No. 11 Mobil 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage, blasted to the pole position ahead of Friday’s Boys and Girls Club of The Blue Ridge 200 at Martinsville Speedway.

With a blazing lap time of 19.654 seconds (96.347mph), Heim secured his ninth career pole in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, beating out defending series champion Ty Majeski.

The Marietta, Georgia-native laid down the stunning lap on his first circuit around the half-mile paperclip, allowing the No. 11 to come to pit road before running his second lap.

Majeski was a half-tenth slower than Heim in qualifying, which will earn him a spot alongside the 13-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series winner in Friday night’s event.

Kaden Honeycutt posted the third-fastest time in Friday’s qualifying session, while Chandler Smith and Daniel Hemric rounded out the top five for Front Row Motorports and McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, respectively.

Tanner Gray continued a string of impressive performances in his No. 15 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, qualifying sixth for Friday’s event, while Layne Riggs, Jake Garcia, Lawless Alan, and Rajah Caruth rounded out the top-10.

Luke Baldwin, making his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in the Mohawk Northeast-sponsored No. 66 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, was quickest in Friday’s practice session but had a major bobble in qualifying, relegating him to a 27th-place starting spot.

Other notables in qualifying from Martinsville include Stewart Friesen (P12), William Byron (P13), Matt Crafton (P14), Corey Day (P15), Gio Ruggiero (P16), Grant Enfinger (P19), Ben Rhodes (P20), and Tyler Ankrum (P24).

The Boys and Girls Club of The Blue Ridge 200 will take place on Friday, March 28 at 7:30 PM ET on FS1.
