Cody Erickson will look to make his triumphant return to the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series on Thursday Night, as the series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for the first race of the 2020 NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs.
Erickson – who hasn’t made a start in a NASCAR National Series event since 2015 at Eldora Speedway — will drive the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado for Cram Enterprises in Thursday’s UNOH 200 Presented by Ohio Logistics.
The 32-year-old has never run a NASCAR-sanctioned event at Bristol Motor Speedway, with his only two pavement starts in NASCAR/ARCA coming at Salem Speedway and Martinsville Speedway (both for Empire Racing in 2014).
Cram Enterprises is a brand-new team in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, making their debut three weeks ago at WWT Raceway, after purchasing the assets of Long Motorsports’ No. 55 team, the truck co-owner Dawson Cram had driven in four races in 2020.
Since the team’s inception, Cram has piloted the No. 41 on two occasions – at WWT Raceway and Darlington Raceway — earning the team’s best result of 22nd-place in Cram Enterprises’ debut race. Cram would relinquish driving duties of the No. 41 at Richmond Raceway to Ryan Huff, who brought the truck home in 28th-position.
Erickson will look to bring the Cram Enterprises Chevrolet home in one piece, and potentially score the team their best finish to date in the NASCAR Truck Series, at one of the most difficult tracks on the circuit.
