GMS Racing will add Chase Purdy to the organization’s full-time roster in 2021. The NASCAR Next Alumni will pilot one of the team’s Chevrolet Silverados in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

“I am very excited to be back full-time racing again, especially with a strong organization like GMS Racing,” said Purdy. “I am ready to get to work with this team and start preparing for 2021. I am already counting down the days until we leave for Daytona.”

In 2020, Purdy joined GMS Racing for a seven-race campaign in the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado, earning a career-best 10th-place finish at Kansas Speedway in July. The 21-year-old drove two NASCAR Truck Series events in 2018, partnering with current GMS Racing crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz in the MDM Motorsports No. 99 at Martinsville and Phoenix.

Purdy will join 2020 NASCAR Truck Series playoff contenders Sheldon Creed, Zane Smith and Tyler Ankrum as teammates at GMS Racing in 2021, in hopes of securing back-to-back championships for the organization.

“We are happy to have Chase (Purdy) back and this time for a full-season,” said Mike Beam, President of GMS Racing. “He will be a great addition to our powerhouse team for 2021. Sheldon, Zane and Tyler will be great mentors for him to learn off of. I can’t wait to see how he learns and grows as a driver this coming season.”

Truck number, sponsorship, crew chief and other additional details will be announced at a later date.
