Caleb Costner, a part-time competitor in the ARCA Menards Series as both a team owner and driver, will attempt to make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in Friday’s Eero 250 at Richmond Raceway.

Costner, a native of Dallas, North Carolina, will get behind the wheel of the No. 74 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro entry for Mike Harmon Racing at the three-quarter-mile short track.

“Taking the next step in my career to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is yet another dream come true,” said Caleb Costner. “I’ve worked so hard through my life and career to get to this level and have this opportunity. I’m very thankful for Mike [Harmon] and the whole team for giving me this opportunity to come in and help build the truck program back up.”

Auto-Owners Insurance and Rodney Cole Insurance will serve as major partners for Costner as he attempts to make his debut in NASCAR National Series competition this weekend at Richmond.

Rodney Cole Insurance is a proud independent insurance agency, founded in 1997, that is located in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Rodney Cole Insurance prides itself on offering personalized solutions for its clients, ensuring that everybody receives the best coverage for their particular situation, at a fair price.

“Racing in NASCAR has always been a dream of mine since I was a kid,” Costner added. “All I could talk or think about was racing. I ate, slept, and breathed NASCAR 24/7. Just ask my parents, teachers, or anyone else who knew me growing up.”

Driving for his team, CW Motorsports, in the ARCA Menards Series, Costner has made a total of 13 starts, collecting a best finish of ninth-place in the 2024 event at Dover Motor Speedway.

This weekend’s event at Richmond Raceway will mark Costner’s second attempt at making his debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, but his first doing so with Mike Harmon Racing.

Two years ago, Costner partnered with Reaume Brothers Racing in an attempt to make his NASCAR Truck Series debut at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The 32-year-old piloted the No. 34 Lickety Lews Ford F-150, but failed to make the event.

Costner will be up against qualifying for the show once again this weekend at Richmond Raceway. With 37 trucks on the entry list for Friday’s Eero 250, and the low owner points position of the No. 74 for Mike Harmon Racing, Costner will likely need to qualify inside the top-31 to make the field.

Coverage of the Eero 250 is set to take place on Friday, August 15, at 7:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1, NASCAR Radio Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
