Alright, it’s a bummer that Brennan Poole and On Point Motorsports couldn’t run a full NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season in 2019, but they are building something together for the future. Friday night in the World of Westgate 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Poole took home his fourth top-10 finish in 12 starts with the team.

Poole started 18th in a race that wound up being a war of attrition. For the most part, Poole ran a fast and smart race. Poole’s No. 30 also made the highlight reel in one of the coolest bits of NASCAR on-track action you’ll see all season when he made it five-wide coming down the frontstretch at LVMS.

In the closing laps, Poole found himself in prime position to capitalize on another great finish. And he did just that by coming home in sixth.

This marks the second-best finish of the year for Poole and his No. 30 team.

Poole’s best finish was a second-place run at Charlotte back in May.

Overall, Poole has an average finish of 14.8 through his 12 starts in 2019. He has also captured four of the five top-10 finishes that Steven Lane’s No. 30 team has ever recorded in the Series.

No word what the future holds for the organization or Poole behind the wheel of their car, but if sponsorship can be found to run the full campaign in 2020, who knows this could be a fringe championship contending team.
