Sam Mayer has been on fire to start off the 2020 season, going to victory lane in dominating fashion in the Star Nursery 150 Thursday Night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring. Mayer led 138/150 laps en route to the victory in the ARCA West Opener.

The win is the second already in 2020 for Sam Mayer, after opening up the ARCA East Championship defense with a win at New Smyrna Speedway over Derek Griffith during “Speedweeks”.

Jesse Love [No. 19], Blaine Perkins [No. 9], Gracie Trotter [No. 99] & Trevor Huddleston [No. 6] rounded out the top-five finishers in the race.

Jesse Love, the rookie for Bill McAnally Racing, was the only other leader of Thursday Night’s race, leading the first portion of the race from the second starting position.

Other notables include: No. 12 Lawless Alan in 6th, No. 16 Gio Scelzi 10th (after causing the races opening caution flag) and No. 50 Holly Hollan finishing in 12th.

Mayer leaves Las Vegas leading the points in both the ARCA West & ARCA East Divisions, although plans at this time have Mayer only competing for the ARCA East Championship.
