A new report from Catchfence.com’s Chris Knight reveals that Shane Lee has been released from the No. 28 H2 Motorsports NASCAR Xfinity Series team.

The report cites sources who say the termination was performance based.

Lee had one top-10 finish (seventh at Iowa in July) and had an average finish of 18th in seven starts in 2019.

The No. 28 car was running at the end of six of Lee’s seven starts as the only DNF came by way of an engine failure at New Hampshire.
