Will Brown, a decorated Australian Supercars racer, will be the latest driver to join the rotating driver roster behind the wheel of the No. 11 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Brown, 27, will pilot the car in the August 30 event at Portland International Raceway.

The organization made the announcement in the form of a social media post on Wednesday afternoon.

Brown has competed in a pair of NASCAR Cup Series events, Sonoma Raceway last season and the Chicago Street Course this year. While Brown showed great speed at both tracks, mechanical issues dashed his day at Sonoma, and a crash on Lap 3 ended his day early at Chicago.

He’ll look to get a clean race in at Portland in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The 2024 Supercars champion will join Spire Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series drivers Carson Hocevar, Michael McDowell, and Justin Haley as drivers who have either taken a turn behind the wheel of the car, or are scheduled to in the wake of the team parting ways with Josh Williams heading into last weekend’s event at Iowa Speedway.

Hocevar collected a sixth-place finish for the No. 11 team at Iowa Speedway last weekend, which tied Williams’ best finish of the opening 21 races of the season. Williams finished sixth in the event at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, which was one of his two top-10 finishes on the season.

After the team released Williams, Chris Rice, Kaulig Racing’s team president, stated that the organization would fill the roster with a rotating driver roster, which would help the team identify its strengths and weaknesses within the No. 11 NASCAR Xfinity Series team going forward.

McDowell will be the next driver up as he will get behind the wheel of the car this weekend at Watkins Glen International, while Haley will drive the entry at Daytona International Speedway.
