Video: Sheldon Creed Spins From Lead at Michigan

Saturday has been a wild range of emotions for Sheldon Creed. In the morning, he was named the new driver of the No. 00 NASCAR Xfinity Series Ford Mustang as he’ll join Sam Mayer on the Haas Factory Team driver roster next season. He then had the optimism of starting from the pole in the Cabo Wabo 250 at Michigan International Speedway, as he continues to chase his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series win.

But then, the mood shifted to disdain for Creed as he had the air taken off of his spoiler entering Turn 4 on Lap 24 of Saturday’s race by Stewart-Haas Racing’s Riley Herbst. The back end of Creed’s pole-winning car got light, and he spun the No. 18 machine out.

Fortunately, Creed kept the car from hitting anything. Unfortunately, he went from having the best track position imaginable to now being scored in 26th.
