Three of the smaller teams in the NASCAR Xfinity Series will see their days end early at Texas Motor Speedway after a multi-car accident broke out five laps into the final stage of the Andy’s Frozen Custard 335.

The crash started when Tanner Berryhill – driving the No. 23 Chevrolet for Our Motorsports — broke loose underneath Dylan Lupton – driving the No. 26 Toyota for Sam Hunt Racing — sending both cars up the track and into the outside wall. Jade Buford – driving the No. 48 for Big Machine Racing — had nowhere to go, after breaking loose entering turn one.

All three drivers were unable to continue in the event, recording finishes outside the top-35 for their respective teams. The caution was the eighth yellow flag of the afternoon, which begins to approach a record in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at the 1.5-mile facility.
