Video: Brandon Jones, Daniel Dye Taken Out in Early Wreck at Daytona

After two seasons competing with JR Motorsports, the return to Joe Gibbs Racing for Brandon Jones has come to an early end after an early-race accident at Daytona International Speedway.

Jones, driving the No. 20 Toyota GR Supra, was running inside the top-10, when a stack up on the inside lane resulted in an awry bump from Jesse Love, sending Jones sideways in front of the pack, collecting several cars on the outside lane.

Rookie of The Year contender Daniel Dye was the other driver to receive substantial damage, leaving both of those drivers out of Saturday’s United Rentals 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

Also involved in the accident were Connor Zilisch, Carson Kvapil, Brennan Poole, Garrett Smithley, and Harrison Burton, as well as a couple of others.

Both Brandon Jones and Daniel Dye have been checked and released from the infield care center.
