With the big news being that Cole Custer is expected to replace Daniel Suarez at Stewart-Haas Racing in 2020, according to a report from Motorsport.com’s Jim Utter, we are now starting to get a sense of where Suarez could now land.

According to a fresh report from Catchfence.com’s Chris Knight, sources have said that Suarez could move to Richard Childress Racing’s Xfinity Series program for the 2020 season.

That potential deal would also include some Cup Series starts for Suarez, potentially.

Suarez won the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship, but he’s had a hard time mimicking that success in the Cup Series.

Suarez is still winless through 107-career Cup Series starts, but he does have a best finish of second which came at Pocono in 2018.

  1. That was rotten how that whole deal “fell through” and the son of the President of Stewart-Haas Racing just happens to be available to take the 41 car.
