NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Jake Garcia is taking advantage of an off-weekend to make a significant jump in his NASCAR career.

The Monroe, Georgia-native will join forces with Georgia-based RSS Racing in Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, making his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in the team’s third entry, the No. 29 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, per NASCAR’s Entry List.

Garcia is currently in the midst of his third full-time campaign in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he pilots the No. 13 Quanta Services Ford F-150 for championship-winning organization ThorSport Racing.

At 20 years old, Garcia is expected to make what is expected to be the first of multiple NASCAR Xfinity Series starts this season for RSS Racing at Talladega Superspeedway, the 2.66-mile superspeedway known for its high speeds and intense pack racing.

In a pair of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts at Talladega Superspeedway, Garcia has recorded a pair of 29th-place finishes in the Fall of 2023 and 2024. The series’ other superspeedway, Daytona, hasn’t been much kinder, with only one finish inside the top-15.

Through the opening seven races of the 2025 NASCAR season, Garcia has been finding incredible gains in the Truck Series, collecting a pair of top-five results and five top-10 finishes in his second season with ThorSport Racing.

The driver that began his career with strong roots in Late Models across the South currently sits seventh-place in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series point standings, after a runner-up finish at Rockingham Speedway.

Eddie Troconis, a two-time race-winning crew chief in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will serve as the shot-caller of the third RSS Racing entry at Talladega.
