Sam Mayer was strong all race long, as he led a race-high 50 laps in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Drive for the Cure 250 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL. And when chaos ensued in the closing laps, Mayer steered clear of the mayhem and went on to score his third victory of the season.

Mayer’s victory was confirmed by NASCAR following post-race inspection, where the No. 1 JR Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro passed. As a result, NASCAR declared Mayer and his JR Motorsports team as the official winners of the race.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Saturday’s race are now considered official.

Cole Custer officially came home with a runner-up effort, while Josh Berry, Riley Herbst, Kaz Grala, Parker Kligerman, Daniel Hemric, John Hunter Nemechek, Austin Hill, and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top-10 finishers on the day.

Officially, Mayer will join John Hunter Nemechek, Cole Custer, Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill, Chandler Smith, Sammy Smith, and Sheldon Creed and Sammy Smith in the Round of 8 of the Playoffs.

Daniel Hemric, Parker Kligerman, Josh Berry, and Jeb Burton were the four drivers officially eliminated from Playoff contention.
