First Look: Noah Gragson’s No. 1 JR Motorsports Camaro

Noah Gragson was hired by Dale Earnhardt Jr. to replace the retiring Elliott Sadler in the No. 1 car. However, there has been speculation since the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season ended, that perhaps JR Motorsports would actually put Noah Gragson in car No. 9, which has won three of the last four championships in the series with three different drivers (Chase Elliott, William Byron and Tyler Reddick).

Those rumors have been squashed officially as pictures from an Armour Sponsorship photoshoot have surfaced on Twitter.

Tuesday, JR Motorsports posted the photos on their Twitter account and it features a white, blue and gold No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Standing proudly in front of the race car is the 20-year-old driver, who won the Snowball Derby this offseason.

When these types of photos surface, it’s always a good opportunity to attempt to see other pieces of a team’s upcoming sponsorship package. When you look at the photos of Gragson, you see prominent decals from Switch (a global technology solutions company) who have been a partner of Gragson since 2017.

It appears as though they should be a part of the sponsorship picture for JR Motorsports in 2019.

Superior Essex also appears prominently on the front panel of Gragson’s firesuit, which would lead you to believe they will be a big part of the 2019 season as well. Of course, this is all speculation as all sponsorship hasn’t been announced for the JR Motorports stable of drivers just yet, but judging by the tweet below those two sponsors don’t appear on Justin Allgaier’s firesuit or anywhere on Earnhardt Jr. either.
