Following Wednesday’s announcement that Kaulig Racing has parted ways with Josh Williams, the full-time driver of the organization’s No. 11 NASCAR Xfinity Series entry, the team has named Williams’ replacement for Saturday’s HyVee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway.

Carson Hocevar, who pilots the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, will slide behind the wheel of the No. 11 Chevrolet in Saturday’s event at the 0.875-mile speedway.

Hocevar, who wasn’t planning to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Iowa Speedway, says he was honored to have received the call from Kaulig Racing to plug in the hole that they had behind the wheel of its No. 11 Chevrolet.

“I love to race, anywhere, anytime, so when I was asked to drive the Kaulig Xfinity car at Iowa, I jumped at the opportunity,” said Hocevar in a Kaulig Racing press release. “I’m grateful to the team at Kaulig Racing for believing in me and to Jeff Dickerson and my Spire team for letting me have some fun with the 11 team this weekend. I promise to make the most of it.”

The Kaulig Racing organization will field the No. 11 NASCAR Xfinity Series entry in each of the final 12 races of the season. Additional driver announcements filling out the 2025 schedule will be announced at a later time.

Heading into this weekend’s race, the No. 11 Kaulig Racing team is ranked 21st in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner Standings. Hocevar will look to help the team climb forward, while also logging additional laps on track prior to Sunday’s Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol at Iowa Speedway.
