There are 37 drivers on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, the sixth event on the 36-race schedule for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series.
With the maximum field size set at 37 drivers for all NASCAR Cup Series events in 2026, there will be no drivers packing up and heading home before the dropping of the green flag on Sunday afternoon. The field will be comprised of 36 Chartered Entries and one Open Entry.
The most-recent winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, Denny Hamlin (who triumphed last time out at Darlington Raceway), will continue his full-time bid for a championship driving the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing. Sport Clips Haircuts will serve as the primary sponsor of the entry at Darlington.
Aside from the 36 drivers and teams that are contractually obligated to enter every single NASCAR Cup Series event in 2026 (due to the Charter Agreement), only Timmy Hill and Garage 66 are entered in the Goodyear 400. Hill will make his first NASCAR Cup Series start of the season, driving the No. 66 Auto Direct USA Ford Mustang Dark Horse.
Alex Bowman remains on the entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Neither Hendrick Motorsports nor Bowman has confirmed whether or not he’ll return to competition this weekend, after sitting out at Phoenix and Las Vegas. Anthony Alfredo (Phoenix) and Justin Allgaier (Las Vegas) both took turns driving the No. 48 Ally Financial Chevrolet in Bowman’s absence. There is no word on who would do so, if needed, at Darlington.
