Kyle Larson Takes Back-to-Back Wins in the All-Star Circuit of Champions Series

Kyle Larson continued his winning ways on the dirt in his sprint car on Monday night as he took his second-consecutive victory in the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Circuit of Champions Series.

Larson’s latest victory came at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma.

In Monday’s 40-lap A-main, Larson started in fourth position, but after a couple of caution flags stopped the action on the first lap, Larson would line up in second once the race finally settled in for a few laps.

Polesitter Aaron Reutzel took the early lead, but on lap 13, Larson worked his way around in lapped traffic.

Reutzel would close in on Larson several times, but he just couldn’t do anything with Larson’s No. 57 machine.

In the end, Larson took home the checkered flag in a close battle with Reutzel on the final lap:

The 27-year old Larson also topped other big names including Gio Scelzi (finishes eighth) and Tony Stewart (finished 12th).

Larson also won the All-Star Circuit of Champions event at 81-Speedway in Kansas on Sunday.

Larson led every lap of that A-main.

He now has three wins in the series in 2020 and he has 12 victories through his career in the All-Star Circuit of Champions.

Larson, who had been running for the NASCAR Cup Series championship when coronavirus forced a stoppage in the schedule, was fired from Chip Ganassi Racing and suspended by NASCAR earlier in the season for a word that he said in an iRacing event in April.

Larson has since issued an apology for his actions and since returning to the dirt has expressed that someday he hopes to return to NASCAR.
