On Wednesday, NASCAR announced that it will uphold the penalty to Kaulig Racing’s No. 31 team in the NASCAR Cup Series from Daytona.

Trent Owens (crew chief), Jacob Nelson (front tire changer) and Marshall McFadden (jack) will all be suspended for the next four NASCAR Cup Series events.

At the time of publishing, Kaulig Racing has yet to indicate who will replace Owens on top of the pit box for Atlanta.

“We respect NASCAR’s decision on the appeal,” said Kaulig Racing’s Team President, Chris Rice. “We will take penalty, move on and work hard to be better.”
