17-year-old Joey Iest has been one of the busiest drivers on the ARCA Menards Series circuit, competing full-time in both the ARCA Menards Series East for David Gilliland Racing and the ARCA Menards Series West for Naake-Klauer Racing, both of which field the No. 54 Ford Fusion.

With 17 laps to go in Saturday Night’s NAPA Auto Parts Colorado 150 at Colorado National Speedway, the young driver made a stunning pass on defending series champion Jesse Love to take the top spot, en-route to his first victory in an ARCA-sanctioned series.

Jesse Love finished in second-place, exiting the fourth event on the series’ nine-race calendar with the points lead, over Bill McAnally Racing teammate Cole Moore. Jake Drew rounded out the top-three finishers, with Cole Moore and Eric Nascimento finishing in fourth and fifth. Paul Pedroncelli, Todd Souza, Jolynn Wilkinson, Bridget Burgess and Trevor Huddleston rounded out the top-10.

The fifth race on the 2021 ARCA Menards Series West calendar will take place at Irwindale Speedway on August 21, and will see Bill McAnally Racing teammates Jesse Love and Cole Moore attempt to hold off the championship-hungry advances of Todd Souza, Dean Thompson, Jake Drew, Joey Iest and Paul Pedroncelli, who all sit within 15 points of the points lead.
