Well, this isn’t what a smaller team in the NASCAR Xfinity Series garage needs heading into the season.

MBM Motorsports, which fields the No. 13 and No. 66 entrys in the NXS, was busted for illegal body modifications on their No. 66 machine on Saturday. The front bumper had body filler applied, which is a no-no with the composite bodies that are used in the Series.

The car, which is driven by Timmy Hill, will be allowed to put down a qualifying lap on Saturday, but the team will lose it’s crew chief Sabastian LaForge for six weeks, they will be fined $50,000 and docked 75 championship owner points.

The team is owned by Carl Long, a former NASCAR driver who was fined $200,000 for having an illegal motor on his start and park car at the NASCAR All-Star Open Race back in 2009. It took Long until 2017, to get the fine handled, as he is an underfunded racer.
