There are 44 trucks on the preliminary entry list for Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway, the Fresh From Florida 250.

With up to 36 trucks permitted to start races in the series, eight trucks will head home at the conclusion of this week’s qualifying session.

Corey Heim, who won this race a season ago and captured 12 wins in a record-breaking championship-winning season, is not currently listed on the entry list. Heim will attempt to secure a spot in the Daytona 500 field in the No. 67 23XI Racing entry.

Among the many notables in the field is Cleetus McFarland, who is pending approval following a Tuesday test at Rockingham Speedway. If McFarland is granted approval to run, he’ll pilot the No. 4 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in what will be his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start.

McFarland had two top-10 finishes in four ARCA Menards Series starts a season ago.
